"Breakfast was fresh with good choices at the buffet bar, The Doghouse was brilliant in most aspects. Spacious bedroom and bathroom, everything functioning well and generally quite clean, staff were pleasant although I do think some improvement with efficiency and speed might be possible? All in all I would return as price was acceptable and great breakfast."

"An old coaching inn, nicely refurbished to good standards and centrally located, quite close to the river. We were delighted with our room, very spacious and comfortable, the bathroom was stylish and had good quality toiletries. We decided to eat in the hotel at night which was enjoyable and breakfast was everything from continental to a full English. A good stay, no complaints and full marks from us."

"Cannot say enough about how good our stay was at The Brewery Tap in Abingdon. It was just excellent from start to finish. The staff are very friendly and very helpful. The food was just amazing, we ate there both evenings. The room was just superb, fantastic size, very comfortable bed and the bathroom was just beyond belief. Everything I needed was in the room including hair dryer and ironing board. You could help yourself to breakfast table outside of the room anytime in the morning. Just a wonderful place to stay. I need to return soon."

"On our arrival we were greeted with a friendly face and offered tea and biscuits, taken to our very clean and comfy room. Modern heating facilities and efficient WiFi, Terry the host seemed adamant in keeping the place up to the scratch and we noticed this, certainly worth re-visiting and we imagine we will be doing just that!"

"The breakfast was splendid! Both cooked and continental options made for a pleasant change as I stayed for 3 nights. I very much liked the warm colours of the room, highest level of comfort and service with a smile from staff, bed was good, as were armchairs and other furnishings. Oxford Abington Hotel was a good stay, no regrets choosing it."

"It's the nice touches that add up on top of an otherwise excellent modern B&B that makes Rafters stand out and make you want to come back. For those on a break, breakfast is between 8 and 10, meaning no mad rush to be down in time. There is plenty of choice and fresh produce and you wont be left feeling the need for an early lunch. The room was excellent as was the en-suite, plus there is a dvd/book collection from which to enjoy. Sigrid has made this a place to return."

"Being Burns by name means Burn's night has to be celebrated wherever we may be. This year we were invited along to a party at Milton Hill House. I must say, they do put on a good party- one of the more memorable ones. The function room was well laid out, the food a delight and the drinks flowed far to easily. Breakfast the following morning was excellent and having use of the spa and the grounds in which to walk off the odd drink or three. The House itself was a lovely place in which to stay and the staff were just superb. Very grateful for a fantastic Burns Night."

"The Upper Reaches by the Thames in Abingdon has been my choice for my last few business meetings. Mainly for its location and the working waterwheel - amazing how long you can watch it idly for whilst putting off work assignments. The rooms are an eclectic mix of old and new, with some working better than others. I've always had a great nights sleep, so nothing wrong with the beds. Parking is plentiful, checking in and out friendly and efficient and the price more than reasonable."

"We loved our time at Kingfisher! The staff were welcoming and friendly, the pool was fab, the cottage we stayed in was very spacious, comfy bed, clean and had everything we needed. We took our dog too and he loved the river tow path and nearby park. The local pub allows dogs and does a very nice breakfast."
