"We were heading over to Amsterdam and were catching the ferry from Harwich. Had a bit of a drive to get there so booked a B&B close to the ferry. The Guest House is on the main road but once inside its clean, tidy and a lovely place to spend the night. We had a good breakfast which was perfect before setting off on our little trip abroad. The Kings Arms is only a few steps away and there are plenty of shops along the High St."

"Much better than I expected. Delighted with Alma Inn & Dining Rooms and would recommend it to anyone visiting the area. So homely and traditional. Everyone here’s extremely friendly and welcoming. Felt right at home and had a splendid stay. The quality of the food was particularly impressive."

"Had another fantastic pre Christmas stay at the Pier. The staff were as wonderful as ever and the service second to none. We had a lovely room with a view across the water to Shotley Gate. Both breakfast and dinner were superb. You can walk from Harwich Town Station or park at the rear of the Hotel. There is a small beach a few minutes away looking across to Felixstowe."

"I love coming to the Tower, with all its quirkiness, making it stand out from the run of the mill hotel chains. I prefer being here April to October when the Harbour Ferry runs you across to Felixstowe and a commute to work is much more enjoyable. The wi-fi is free but can be a bit iffy but I like that as its a good excuse to enjoy your surroundings instead of being fixed to a screen. If you can, book a named room as these a better than the standard ones. The hotel has a splendid staircase and bar and the breakfast is pretty good too."

"Close to the cruise terminal, our room was excellent although the bathroom was shared, not a major problem, it was very clean and contained toiletries. Too far to walk into the town centre and little to do in the immediate area, however we enjoyed a nice meal and a couple of drinks. Very good value for money and we would definitely stay again before or after a cruise."

"The free wi-fi and view of the sea set the holiday home rental apart from the other choices. Sleeps 6, so plenty of room for four of us (between 3 bedrooms). TV and Blu-Ray player were available, as was a fully equipped kitchen, and tumble dryer. Dining table could have been bigger but, on the whole, excellent furniture. Well-appointed house."
