- "Booked to stay here for a few days and we had such a lovely time. The room was clean and very well equipped with plenty of tea and coffee facilities provided. Angela and Steve were superb hosts and it was ideally located just minutes away from the beach. A lovely freshly cooked breakfast is served in the mornings."
- "Stayed at the Cromwell House with a few friends to celebrate my birthday. The room was very nice, a bit small but it was immaculately clean and the bed was very comfortable. Sue and Neil were terrific hosts and were always available if we needed any assistance. Breakfast was excellent and the location was very close to the seafront."
- "A small and friendly B&B rather than hotel in a wonderful location facing the beach. It was quiet and relaxing, just what we wanted on our short break. The hotel is dog friendly by the way. We couldn't fault the room, clean and comfortable with a sea view. Breakfast is continental style and excellent. An enjoyable break."
- "Great for the Royal Hippodrome Theatre and pretty handy to Eastbourne station if you catch the train like us. Boyne House didn't disappoint on either the breakfast or the nights sleeping, so full marks in my book for this cracking B&B. I'm not too sure about the external paint job though, but once inside its all a lot better. Breakfast's were also a cut above the usual guest house experience. Recommended."
Mile after mile of stunning coastline remains the primary draw to Eastbourne, which deliver awe-inspiring panoramic views, a glimpse of the past at the Sovereign Harbour and a wonderful dose of modern culture at the city's countless theatres and galleries. Topped off with incredibly easy access to the stunning South Downs countryside surrounding the city, is your traditional English seaside town - and then some!
Those not so in love with standard British weather conditions can relax in the knowledge that Eastbourne is said to be the sunniest spot in the country - unofficially, of course, that makes it great for outdoor pursuits, including hiking along the trails that cross the spectacular South Downs. For something a little more high-octane, there's stock-car racing every Wednesday evening during the summer, and an extreme sports festival once a year, and championship dinghy sailing.
