"Everything was just first class. Liked Mount Hawke as a location and the beach was only a 20 minute walk away as was St-Agnes proper. Rachel was so caring and thoughtful, making us feel welcome from the second we stepped foot in the house. Can't fault anything with this fine place to stay and have no hesitation in recommending to all looking for great value places to stay in and around the area."

"A beautiful quiet location and the Mellowvean was a super place to stay. Offered tea and scones as son as we arrived which we enjoyed in their beautiful garden. Jenny was the best host imaginable and made us feel so welcome and looked after. Breakfast was delicious and our room had everything you needed for a great stay including a wonderful comfy bed. Definitely a big chance we'll stay again if ever returning to this wonderful part of the country. Margaret."

"A charming and historical building in a lovely area just outside St Agnes offering top class B&B accommodation. We had a very friendly welcome, all the staff attentive and friendly. Our room was everything we could have wished for with some nice touches and a very good be resulting in a great nights sleep. After a relaxing coffee in our room we ventured to the bar and restaurant where we were again impressed. Breakfast was also top-notch with many cold & hot options well presented and most enjoyable. In a village setting with some nice walks, quiet and peaceful, a great getaway."

"This hotel is ideal as a base for touring around the Cornwall area. Located in a lovely village setting, plenty of walking available along the St Agnes stretch of the coastal path. Our room was spacious, comfortable especially our lovely bed, very clean and had wonderful views. Food in the evening and at breakfast was delicious.
Family run, very different to chain hotels, well worth a visit, we will be returning."

" Dorothy was a lovely host at Penkerris, and her staff were delightful. Our room was spotless and beautifully furnished with great facilities. Loved the breakfast, it was incredible, and cooked to order with lots of choice. Lots of tea and biscuits in the room, and fresh milk on request. We would love to stay again.

"Penkerris is a charming unique place to stay, more of a hotel than a B&B but still small enough to retain the charm and honest hospitality of a live-in owner. The staff and accommodations were great with lots of information available for local travel and attractions. I was travelling with my three children aged; 2, 5 & 7. We were made to feel at home and the children enjoyed the beautiful garden grounds. The outside and inside toys were a treat for the children to use. I would recommend to friends. This place has lots of great places to explore. With the most amazing pristine beaches around. Breakfasts a treat and all our beds were extremely comfortable. Recommended."
